2019 Senior Open Tour Champions


POLICIES & PROCEDURES
The Senior Open Tour and Senior Open County Golf Championship series was established in 2013 by DCI Golf for senior male golfers who are 50 years of age and over on or before December 31st. The Tour is owned and operated by DCI Golf, a division of DeSilva Communications, Inc. and was founded to provide quality golf events for Senior Professionals and Senior Amateurs alike with a Tour Championship held annually. Senior male golfers interested in entering any Senior Open Tour event do not have to be a member of the Senior Open Tour in order to participate. However, golfers wishing to participate in the Annual Senior Open Tour Championship, must have participated in atleast (4) Tour Events.

There are Two Separate Divisions:
• An Open Division for Senior Pros
• An Indexed Division for Senior Amateurs with a handicap of 0-19.9

Qualified senior male golfers 50+ are invited to compete in this single day, stroke play event and compete for Cash & Prizes. All Amateur Golfers are flighted based on their Tour Index and/or latest revision of their verifiable USGA approved handicap index. Winners for both the Professional and Amateur Divisions will be determined by overall low gross score. All other Flight Winners will also be determined by low gross scores within their Flight Index.

• Professional Division: 6,300 - 6,600 yards or comparable
• Championship: 0 - 3 index, 6,200 - 6,400 yards/comp
• A Flight: 4 - 7 index, 6,000 - 6,200 yards/comp
• B Flight: 8 - 11 index, 6,000 - 6,200 yards/comp
• C Flight: 12 - 15 index, 6,000 - 6,200 yards/comp
• D Flight: 16 - 19 index, 5,800 - 6,000 yards/comp

PARTICIPANTS & HANDICAPS
All senior male Professional golfers will be paired with other professionals and play in the Pro Division separate from the Amateur Division..

All senior male Amateur golfers are required to have an active, verifiable USGA approved handicap index. A current handicap index from your local golf club or golf association will be accepted for entry into the tournament. Handicap Index must factor atleast (8) scorecard entries in the current calendar year. All entrants need to provide their most recent handicap when registering for the tournament. All handicap indexes will be verified for competition. Players will be Flighted based on the most recent Score Revision and established Tournament Handicap Index (if applicable). Golfers wishing to participate that do not have a handicap index, must submit atleast (5) recent scores with courses and tee markers played. If accepted and flighted for play, the Tournament will provide these golfers with a Tournament handicap index in order to participate in the event.

A Tournament Handicap Index will be established after participation in (4) events and will factor only scores from the tournament. Tournament Index is calculated based on the following: 2 scores -lowest 1, 3 scores-lowest2, 4 scores-lowest 3, 5 scores-lowest 4, 6 scores-lowest 5 and so on... up to 10 acceptable scores. Tournament Officials reserve the right to Re-Flight players at any time. Players will be notified by email upon acceptance of their entry form. Players must submit Registration with Entry Fee in order to receive player acceptance. Players can enter any County Tournament as often as they wish. County residency is not a requirement for entry.

AMATEUR STATUS
All registered senior male amateur players must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf. Players verify that they have not received renumeration other than specified by the USGA Rule of Amateur Status.

POINT SYSTEM & SENIOR TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
The Point System is designed to qualify players for the Senior Open Tour Championship. Points will be awarded in each flight based on the tournament results. All entrants must compete in a minimum of Four (4) events to qualify for the Senior Open Tour Championship. Points will be awarded as follows:

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEES
Entry Fees must be pre-paid by each Entrant. Entry Fees are per Player and include the following:

1. Range Balls, Cart & Greens Fee
2. Championship Round
3. Trophy for each Flight Winner - State Championship
4. Cash Purse for Professional Div.(based on number of players)
5. Cash, Tour Credit or MasterCard Gift Cards for Amateur Winners
6. Sponsor Player Pack for Each Player, if applicable
7. Discounted Practice Round for Members, if applicable
8. Bounce Back for Each Member at a Discounted Rate, if applicable

Membership in the Senior Open Tour is open to all Senior Male Golfers 5+ who qualify. Annual Membership is based on a Calendar yearn the Senior Open Tour Professional Open Division is $75.00 (12 month period). However, in most county events prize money for senior pros will be paid out only to members of the Tour. If a non-member wins prize money at a tournament where membership is required, he can apply his winnings,or a portion thereof, to pay for the $75 annual membership fee.

To register in any Senior Open County event, a player must: (i) Mail a completed Entry Form with payment; (ii) Fax a completed Entry Form with payment information; (iii) Scan and e-mail an Entry Form with payment information; (iv) E-mail an entry request with payment information; or (v) Phone DCI with entry and payment information. The entry deadline date for registration and payment in full is the date designated on the entry form. Late Registration will be accepted for an addtional $20, up to four days prior to the tournament. There will be NO day of event registration.

Please see Registration Form for Entry Fees for each County Tournament. Entry Fees are non-refundable after the registration deadline. Entry Fees can be paid by check or credit card. DCI charges a $35 fee for any returned checks or credit card denial. Any approved refund for Entry Fees will include a $25 processing fee and be made in the form of a Credit towards a future Senior Open County Championship event within the calendar year.

PRIZES & AWARDS
Prize Money for Professionals. Prize Money is established prior to the event with the amount dependent on the size of the field. Tournament purses vary based on sponsors and the number of participants. The guaranteed First Place prize money with a minimum of 10 professional entries is $450. First place ties are decided by a sudden-death playoff immediately after competition and continuing until the tie is broken.


Non-Cash Prize Vouchers for Amateurs. All amateur players receive their winnings in the form of non-cash prize vouchers in compliance with USGA® guidelines and the Senior Open County Golf Championship Tournament policy. The value of each prize voucher is established prior to the event with the amount dependent on the size of the field. No Cash Substitutes for Prize Vouchers. First place ties are decided by a sudden-death playoff and/or scorecard comparison immediately after competition and continuing until the tie is broken. Prize vouchers for other ties are split as necessary.

PRACTICE ROUND
Depending on the golf course and whereever applicable, Practice Rounds will be available one week in advance of the Tournament. All players who register by the Deadline will receive a Practice Round Voucher at a Discounted Rate. Each player must call the Pro Shop, schedule a tee-time and pay for their Practice Round. Players must present their Practice Round Voucher when making payment in order to receive the discounted rate. Practice Rounds will be scheduled by the golf course based on course availability.

OPTIONAL SIDE GAMES & CONTESTS
At most Senior Open County Golf Championship tournaments there will be an OPTIONAL Gross Skins Game and Closest-to-the-Pin Contest. These games/contests will be conducted simultaneously with the tournament competition.

Gross Skins Game: A $kin will be awarded to the player who has the lowest score below par on a hole when compared to scores from all others players that entered the skins contest. Any ties will result in no skin being awarded on that hole. The total number of skins awarded for all 18 holes will then be divided into the net collected funds to determine the dollar prize of each skin.

Skins Game for the Professional Division will be held separate from the Amateur Division.

Closest-to-the-Pin: A $kin will be awarded to the player who has the recorded Closest-to-the-Pin on every Par 3 hole. The collected funds will be divided by the number of "Closies" to determine the dollar prize for each skin.

Low In-Flight Net Contest: A $kin will be awarded to the player who has the lowest Net Score within his flight.


WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY:
If you withdraw up to Seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the Tournament, you will receive a Refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee. No Refunds will be granted, for any reason whatsoever, on withdrawals or cancellations, within (7) days of the date of the Tournament. In addition, no refunds will be granted for "no shows" or disqualifications. All approved cancellation/withdrawal refunds will be in the form of a Tournament Entry Fee Credit, which can be applied towards the player registration fee for a future Senior Open County Championship event within the calendar year.
